A & D - a wedding in the South of France
Ashlyn & David committed their life to each other with a glorious day of celebration in Mougin that I had the chance to photograph last summer.
Ashlyn & David said yes in the church where her parents got married and on the same date as his tied the knot. What could be more romantic!
A celebration full of love in stunning locations - the church is at the top of Mougins. The village is ancient, nestled in the pine trees of the French Riviera it’s famous for being the final residence of the great artist Pablo Picasso. Words from the bride: « She was incredibly discrete throughout the ceremony and yet managed to get front line photos. She even went above and beyond by finding incredible advantage points in the church allowing her to capture everybody from above. »
After the religious ceremony we headed for the toast, dinner & party at the sumptuous Auberge des Adrets.
The venue is right in the hills of Esterel in the Var has a vast garden with chandeliers hanged in the trees & a magnificent view over the valley. During the toast a modern & vibrant live band was the perfect soundtrack into that summery sunset. Although the gem of this wedding location is the immense conservatory where the dinner was served. The house is the perfect blend of a tasteful romantic decoration & contemporary opulence, the perfect setting for a love celebration.
But what would be a wedding without hitting the dance floor! I love getting creative with my flash light and capture that moment of joy amongst the family & guests.
The next day we all gathered at their family house for a relaxed brunch by the pool with a view of the old village.
