Kitty & Rollo’s Magical Farm Wedding in Somerset

As a UK wedding photographer, I have the privilege of capturing so many incredible love stories, but Kitty & Rollo’s wedding was something truly emotional. Their farm wedding in Somerset was heartfelt, handmade, and overflowing with joy – the kind of love celebration that will be remembered for a long time.
A Homemade Somerset Farm Wedding
Kitty and Rollo tied the knot on the farm where Kitty grew up, surrounded by family, friends, and so much love. Every part of the day was crafted with care and meaning:
Kitty’s mum sewed her wedding dress and created colourful handmade banners, how talented is she??!
Friends brought the flowers, wrote in beautiful calligraphy all the guests names, and helped moving hay bales and so many little details.
Her dad handcrafted their wedding rings, a beautiful symbol of family and connection.
Music was played by their closest friends, from ceremony to the dancefloor we had the chance to hear talented musicians.
The ceremony, led by a celebrant friend, was deeply personal and filled with laughter, happy tears, and a lot of cheering from their guests. It was the kind of wedding that reminded everyone what a wedding is truly about: love, community, and connection.
Documentary Wedding Photography in Somerset
I capture weddings in a documentary style, which means I don’t direct or stage moments – I tell the story as it naturally unfolds. Kitty & Rollo’s day was the perfect example of why I love this approach. From the emotional speeches to the spontaneous laughter, everything was raw and real.
And of course, at the heart of it all were Kitty & Rollo themselves. Their love radiated through every look, every hug, every smile. I just loved photographing every moment and detail of their day.
